Tony Tregurtha

Since the young age of 27 Tony has worked for himself, with the exception of 2 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.  In his career to date, Tony has started 6 of his own companies and sold 3 of them.  In 2005 he co-founded Enlighten Software, and in 2011 it evolved into the now Enlighten Operational Excellence.  With offices around the globe, Tony is based between Boston, Massachusetts and Australia with his wife Paula and their son Jem.

Many years ago Tony’s grandmother Helena began researching her husband’s family name, Tregurtha.  Years of dedicated hard work uncovered a pedigree leading back to the early 17th century, with its roots stemming from the small village of Newlyn in the parish of Paul, Cornwall, England.  Recently Tony himself made the decision to continue what his grandmother had started, and so the Tregurtha Project was born.

While he searches out other Tregurthas around the world, Tony also enjoys another passion; off-road motorcycles.  Combining this boyhood passion with charity work, Tony joined forces with a few good mates in a ride across Australia’s deserts to raise money for the amazing ministry Youth Off The Streets.  The ’10 Desert Ride’ for charity was over 20,000 kms crossing the most inhospitable deserts in Australia.  You can read all about this incredible adventure on Tony’s personal website here http://bigbore.info/

Tony is a warm and welcoming guy who is more than happy to hear from anyone that has an interest in the Tregurtha Project (and bikes of course).
