My full name is Nancy Louise Tregurtha, but I have always used the name Louise, and I was born 7/1/1961 in Moorabbin Hospital to Shirley Hulme and Robert Edward Primrose Tregurtha. I lived in Mentone and East Bentleigh and went to school at Mentone Primary, then to Cheltenham High. I did a Bachelor of Applied Science (Electronic Data Processing) at Caulfield Institute of Technology (now Monash Uni) and graduated in 1981.
I joined ANZ Bank as an IT Graduate and spent 10 years there working my way up through the Programming and Analyst ranks to become a Project Manager. I left ANZ in 1991 and joined my partner in a Company providing Project Management and Consulting services to a variety of large companies in the finance, telecommunications, airline, education and insurance industries. I have worked mostly in Australia but have also spent some time working overseas in UK and USA.
When I was younger I did ballet and played tennis. This was mainly to strengthen my left leg which was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident when I was 3 years old. Since l left school I took up snow skiing and enjoy skiing at Falls Creek and in the French Alps when we go overseas to visit my partner’s family in the UK. I love traveling to different countries and have seen most of Europe and much of the US however I would love to travel to South America and Africa soon to experience their cultures and soak up their history.
My other hobby (apart from renovating our Victorian house which took us 10 years) is wine tasting. This is something my father handed down to his 3 children as he was involved in the wine industry in many guises during his working life. We love traveling to wine districts around Australia trying the wine and eating out in the local restaurants. We have an extensive cellar, we belong to a wine and food club and we love to entertain friends and family and share our love of good food and wine with them.
